Dear friends
I'll allow myself to write this important message in english - since we got support from people all over the globe.
So why do you get this mail, well you have participated in our protest against the company that runs the ferry that connects our beautiful little Island Fanø to the main peninsular of Jylland Denmark.
To be more correct - what we protested against, was the hilarious price adjustment of up to 100% that hit us motorbike riders - and also all the other price adjustments - that mainly hit us who live on Fanø and use the ferry connection every day (because we don't have any other options... yes we could swim - but that would be a mess...)
On the 22 January 2010 the ferrycompany contacted us and told us that they would drop the price adjustment for motorbikes from 100% to 33%!!!
WHAT A VICTORY!!!!
A Victory we can only celebrate, because we had a little help from our friends, namely:

We managed 729 signatures before close down - and believe me, if we hadn't stopped it on 22 January 2010 - the number would have continued to rise... no doubt!. We stopped it though - in respect to the ferrycompany. They were slightly fed up with all the bad press... :O)
Our battle is not over yet, the ferrycompany will meet with our mayor of Fanø in February - there we will show up, and hand over all the signatures from the collection you helped with.
We will continue to use the momentum of all this support to follow up and make the right people know our opinion and how we think they manage to govern the ferrycompany's pricepolitics on our little island!!
